National Contest
The Foreign Policy Association, in conjunction with Scholastic, is sponsoring an essay and video contest for grades 9-12. In a short essay (up to 750 words) or video (up to 5 minutes long), students are to answer the question: What is America’s biggest challenge in the world today?
The top prize in each category is $1,500 and an all-expenses-paid trip to New York City to attend the 2018 Foreign Policy Centennial Celebration in May. Second- and third-prize winners will each receive $500. Importantly, it gives these students an opportunity for national recognition. Every student who enters, along with their teacher, will receive formal certificates of recognition for their efforts.
The deadline for entries is March 1, 2018. For more information, go to fpa.org.
